Dolpo Region
The Dolpo Region is a remote and mystical trekking destination located in the far-western part of Nepal, within the boundaries of Shey Phoksundo National Park. Known for its rugged terrain, high-altitude deserts, and ancient Tibetan Buddhist culture, Dolpo remains one of the least-explored regions in Nepal. It offers trekkers a glimpse into traditional Tibetan life, with stunning landscapes that include deep valleys, high mountain passes, and the stunning turquoise waters of Phoksundo Lake.
| Permits / Visa | Trekkers require the Upper Dolpo Restricted Area Permit, Lower Dolpo Permit, and Shey Phoksundo National Park Entry Permit. A registered guide is mandatory for trekking in restricted areas. |
